Booking widget on Plain HTML

Paste the code into the page where guests should book. Anywhere inside the body works; the script loads after the page and never blocks it.

The snippet

<div id="rentalcal-widget" data-property-id="YOUR_PROPERTY_ID"></div>
<script src="https://widget.rentalcal.com/widget.js" async></script>

Replace YOUR_PROPERTY_ID with your property's id. It is on the property's Widget tab in your dashboard, where the snippet is already filled in and ready to copy.

Steps

  1. Open the page's HTML and paste the embed code where the booking card belongs, anywhere inside the body.

  2. Upload or deploy the page as you normally do.

  3. Open the live page to see the card, then paste its address on the property's Widget tab to confirm the install.

If something looks off

  • One widget per page. A second copy of the element is ignored.
  • Static site generators (Hugo, Jekyll, Astro, Eleventy) take the code in a template or a raw HTML block.

Confirming the install

Once the page is live, paste its address on the property's Widget tab. RentalCal opens the page, finds the embed code and marks the widget confirmed. Booking assistants can then find the property by that address too.
